Lenovo has confirmed that it will drop the distinctive, landscape-oriented camera/physical fan island and shoulder triggers of the Legion Y90 in its mid-2022 refresh the Y70. Then again, the OEM asserts that the trade-off is that it will bring the height of its flat edges down to 7.99 millimeters (mm), not counting its new and ultra-conventional camera hump.
To this end, Lenovo has also developed a markedly slim 0.55mm vapor chamber for the Y70's high-powered internals. Nevertheless, the same part of the upcoming device's "10-layer" cooling system will compensate for that lack of thickness by spreading itself over a total surface area of 5047mm2.
It will contribute to 36938mm2 of thermal-management materials throughout the Y70, for refrigerant-grade cooling (apparently even endorsed by the brand Haier).
Lenovo has also now announced that a user might leverage these abilities while using the Legion Gamepad, an almost clip-like accessory to debut alongside the new smartphone with exclusive configuration options when paired to a ZUI device.
