Food product recalls and public health alerts are released by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA/FSIS). The information in the recalls is gathered from press releases and other public notices about certain recalls of products regulated by the FDA and USDA.

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Food Safety Program posts recalls from FDA and USDA on its website for products that may have been distributed in Ohio and surrounding states through retail stores, direct sales, or online sales. ODH also posts recalls released by our partners at the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) Food Safety Division for products recalled from manufacturers regulated by ODA.

The complete list of recalls released by FDA can be found on the FDA Recalls, Market Withdrawals, & Safety Alerts webpage. The complete list of recalls released by USDA/FSIS can be found on the USDA Recalls & Public Health Alerts webpage.
